Walk MS 2013

For the second year in a row, I was thrilled to be able to serve as DJ for Walk MS Syracuse, an annual fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Upstate New York Chapter.  Once again, we had wonderful weather, thousands of people supporting a great cause, and some upbeat tunes to keep everyone moving. Survey Says: You’ll save money by hiring Peter Naughton!

TheKnot.com says the average wedding DJ cost in 2012 was $988. But PeterTheDJ.com charges only $700 for a four-hour reception, a savings of $288!

You’ll definitely save money by hiring me to DJ your wedding reception.  Don’t take my word for it: a popular wedding planning website surveyed 17,500 U.S. couples who got married in 2012.  On average, those couples paid $988 for their DJ. My rates start at just $700 for four hours of service.  Even if you add a fifth hour — or a sixth — you’ll still save money compared to the national average! (more…)

Fall is a great season to host a wedding in Central New York… it’s not too hot, it’s not too cold, and the changing colors of the leaves make for a spectacular backdrop. April and Brendan selected the first day of fall, September 22, 2012, to be the first day of their marriage.  And what a great day, with fall-themed decor inside the Holiday Inn… in the heart of Ithaca, where the leaves were just starting to change color around the city’s famous picturesque gorges and Cayuga Lake. If you’ve been browsing my event photo posts, the first few shots from Rob and Shannon’s wedding might look familiar — I was the DJ for another wedding at Borio’s Restaurant along Oneida Lake in Cicero just two weeks earlier.  Once again, we were lucky to have perfect weather conditions for the ceremony outside, followed by a great party inside.
